Our Story

At The PT Spot, we believe in a holistic approach to physical therapy—one that treats not just the symptoms, but the whole person.

Our story began with a desire to provide patients with the kind of care that was often missing in traditional, insurance-driven therapy settings: individualized attention, one-on-one sessions, and a focus on long-term healing.

In many traditional insurance-based physical therapy settings, the focus is often on quick fixes and symptom management rather than addressing the root cause of the issue. With limited time per session and treatment plans dictated by insurance guidelines, patients often find themselves getting temporary relief but never fully healing. This approach can lead to a cycle of recurring pain or injury, as underlying issues are left unresolved.

At The PT Spot, we take the time to thoroughly assess your condition, looking beyond the symptoms to uncover the true source of your discomfort. By targeting the root cause and using a holistic approach, we help you achieve long-term relief and a healthier, more balanced body. We will frequently observe the challenging tasks you face, such as getting in and out of your car, sitting at a desk, sleeping, and more, in order to identify the root cause of the difficulty.

Meet Our Therapist

Dr. Ally Halbig PT, DPT, CFMT, CSCS - Founder of The PT Spot, P.C

Welcome to The PT Spot! I’m Ally Halbig, and it’s my mission to help you heal, move better, and get back to the things you love. Helping people heal, move better, and live their lives to the fullest is my passion, and it’s what drives everything we do at The PT Spot. Whether you're recovering from an injury or just looking to feel your best, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. With years of hands-on experience in physical therapy and personal training, I’m driven by the opportunity to help people recover, move more freely, and live life without limits. What excites me most is seeing the positive changes in my patients—whether it's getting back to a favorite activity or simply feeling better in daily life.

My journey into physical therapy began long before I ever set foot in a classroom. As a competitive college soccer player, I saw firsthand how injuries can affect not just an athlete's body, but their entire life. Watching teammates go through the challenges of rehab and recovery inspired me to pursue this field—I knew I wanted to be the one to help others rebuild their strength, regain their mobility, and return to the things they love.

In addition to my athletic background, I also had a close relative who faced serious physical limitations due to illness. Seeing the transformative effect of physical therapy on their ability to move and live more independently deeply impacted me. It wasn’t just about regaining physical function—it was about restoring confidence and improving quality of life. This experience solidified my passion for PT and my commitment to helping others experience that kind of life-changing progress.

When I’m not at the clinic, you’ll likely find me at CrossFit, attending church, practicing yoga, running, catching some waves, or simply relaxing on the beach.

I’m also passionate about continuing education and volunteer work, including supporting the Guide Dog Foundation and organizing fundraising efforts for animal shelters.

Of course, I also cherish quality time with my three dogs. Being part of a community that values health, wellness, and personal growth means the world to me.

Thank you for considering The PT Spot for your physical therapy needs. I look forward to helping you feel your best and live pain-free.
